Look Out!!!!

Xander started crawling yesterday afternoon. And he hasn't stopped moving since. Now he keeps trying to pull himself up on everything.

Look out ... here I come

We babysat Maggie yesterday, but her and Xander don't seem to be on the same schedule. Xander naps and Maggie plays. Maggie naps and Xander wakes up to play. Makes babysitting easier, but hard for playing together.

Having fun with Xander's toys while he sleeps. Hey, this swinging is fun, but can someone lower Xander's Jolly Jumper so I can jump...

This chair is sweet ... I hope Xander sleeps for awhile longer because me and his lamb are quite enjoying watching Baby Einstein in this chair. If only my feet could touch the floor.

Busy, busy, busy

Xander is very very busy these days ... trying to crawl, pull himself up to standing and just pick at anything in general. He can crawl backwards quite well, but hasn't quite gotten the whole going forward down pat.

He'll get up on his knees ...

Then, if if thinks something is too far away - he gives up and lies on his belly and screams ...

Then, his Mom feels bad for him and pushes his tower closer - victory is sweet for Xander!!

King of the Castle

John remarked the other day as we sat trying to feed Xander his supper that Xander was the "King" and I the "Court Jester". As the plastic cup perched atop my top head fell to ground in yet another attempt to get Xander to laugh, I couldn't help but agree.

King Xander is learning how to get his own way and testing his limits this week with his Mom and Dad. He has started to cry every time his Mom leaves the room - a phase I hope is shortlived.

Xander is still not crawling, but is getting close. He pushes himself backwards and gets up on his hands and knees.

8 Months Old

Xander is eight months old today and is getting busier all the time. He manages to scoot around by turning round in circles and pulling himself forward with his heels. He has gotten up on his hands and knees a few times, but seems more interested in walking then crawling.

Here are some pictures of Xander in a new Backyardigan's chair we bought for him using a gift card from Uncle Steve and Tobi for Toys R Us. He is a little small for it yet, but he quite likes it. He trys to stand up when we put him in it. He's also wearing new PJ's I bought from money his Great Grandmother Brentnall gave him. Who says Christmas comes but once a year. Thanks again for the presents.

I love my new chair. I could sit and watch cartoons all day long - if only my Mom would let me.
